1. What information we collect

FutbolGenea does not collect personal identification data to create or use the family tree. Your tree is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is not sent to our servers unless you choose to share it.

When you use the Share feature, the tree content (person names and selected clubs) is temporarily stored on our servers for 7 days, then automatically deleted. We do not associate this content with any identity data.

2. Local storage and cookies

We use browser localStorage to save your family tree and cached team data. We do not use tracking or third-party cookies. There are no advertising cookies.

3. Team data

Football team data (names, badges, colors) is collected and maintained manually by the FutbolGenea team. We do not use third-party services as a source of club data.

4. Infrastructure services

FutbolGenea uses Upstash Redis to temporarily store shared trees with a 7-day TTL. This service complies with applicable privacy regulations. We do not share data with any other external service.

5. Argentine legal framework - Law 25.326

FutbolGenea complies with Argentine Law 25.326 on Personal Data Protection. Under this law, data subjects have the right to:

• Access their personal data free of charge
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion or blocking of their data
• Object to data processing in cases provided by law

6. International framework - GDPR

For users in the European Union, FutbolGenea applies the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Data minimization: we only collect what is strictly necessary
• Storage limitation: shared data is deleted after 7 days
• Transparency: we clearly inform what data we handle and why
• Right to erasure: you can delete your tree at any time from the browser
• Legal basis: data processing is based on the user's implicit consent when using the share feature

7. User rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion, and objection at any time:

• Delete your tree: clear your browser's local storage
• Remove a shared tree: contact us with the link and we'll delete it before expiry
• Request information about your data: write to our contact email

8. Minors

FutbolGenea is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from minors. If you detect unauthorized use by a minor, please contact us.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with the corresponding update date.
